Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and as you would expect, is steeped in history. The city has also established itself as a main centre for business, finance and learning, not just within the UK but throughout the world.

Edinburgh has second to none architecture ranging from Victorian gems to awe-inspiring churches and is dominated by Edinburgh Castle, which sits on top of an ancient volcano in the centre of the city. With the old areas of the city complementing the new, it is not hard to see why Edinburgh attracts so many visitors every year.

Although predominately thought of as a conservative and traditional city, Edinburgh is actually a great place for party goers and contemporary art junkies alike. The city also plays host to international festivals throughout the year, the most famous being the Edinburg Festival, a collection of events held in August.
